[Eberron] Voyage of the Golden Dragon: Any Good?

I've browsed it Rem. It's not bad but it's far from excellent. It's a good module that links up a good bit and can be built on after the entire adventure is over. It's more a series of vignettes that involve the scenes with Golden Dragon. It's nice but I'd hardly call it that original. It might work okay if you don't mind the flying ship.

It's four parts, concerning the Golden Dragon.
Part1: Before the initial trip
Part 2: during the trip, murder mystery
part 3: XenDrik trip
part 4: return to the ship

I skipped part 1, part 2 is doing well right now with only slight modification. I'll be using Part 3, not sure of part 4 as written.

overall it's a good module though. The layout lacks a little (rooms here, NPC's here, here, here, there, here...) and the lack of an online map gallery is irksome for me, but otherwise it's good.

I wonder how the format could be improved. I've always thought this type of adventure to be a real problem to lay out elegantly.

Cheers!

In the old days, this would have been a boxed set. A map, a sheet of rooms, a sheet of crew. Then have the stats located where they're called for in the text.

I mean, some of the stats are only used in one adventure segment, but they're still located in the back.

The Xen'drik bit felt tacked-on to me... there's not much rationale for the party to go off tomb raiding at the end of the voyage unless you plant your own seeds beforehand.

As far as adaptability for other games, it could be I suppose. The "meat" of the adventure is the intrigue that occurs during the voyage, and it doesn't have to be an airship specifically (could just as well be a grand new sailing ship).

Part 4 felt tacked to me, part 3 was okay, if you establish that guy with the party. (Can't recall teh explorers name).
I already had a seed, so it's not a big issue for me.

Heck, it could be the FIRST airship, depending on the setting. (FR has airships already, but perhaps it's the first one built by Cormyr or something, and Halrua wants to sabotage)
