A celestial wihtout wings?
I wanted one. In fact, when asking my DM's permission, before he could more than draw BREATH to object to it because of the chance for wings ... I said "and I do NOT want wings, it doesn't fit my concept" ...
Mind you, this particular half-celestial was the direct scion of a (minor) avatar of Ehlonna herself -- once a human woman, she fell in love, the usual things happened, and he DIED. In her grief, she didn't realise she was with child ... and became a TREE (oops). Forever.
Nine hundred years later, out pops my character, physically full-grown to a human 17y.o. or 18y.o. equivalent; he hardly aged, and was chronologically only about 3 years old when he joined the group. But somehow the half-divine scion of a TREE ... well, I couldn't see him with wings, not really.
Actually he was a pretty cool character overall. His hair changed color with the seasons, even (one of hte few ways he looked not-human, aside from his too-green-to-be-human eyes and slightly otherworldy voice). Cleric of, well, "mom" ... with Plant and Sun domains.
But ... I did not want him to have wings. I would have liked a custom-tailored racial spell list, but ... *shrug*
