Me and my mom and some parts of our family would borrow phrases from tv shows "This is bad on so many levels" from The West Wing or "That can't be good" from Whose Line is it Anyway
I use it when someone has forgotten something important.“PANTS!”
A friend of mine was helping me sort my massive comic book collection by title,a process that took a few rooms. We had been at the task for a few hours, and he brought something over to me to tell him where to put it.
I knew what it was, and where it belonged- I pointed at the intended destination…but couldn’t come up with the word to identify where it belonged among the various possible destinations.
I kept gesticulating, “Those go on the…over there on the…the thing…uhhhh…on…PANTS!”
(I meant the sofa.)
Since then, shouting “PANTS!” when struggling to find a particular word has become our thing.
