Extend and certain spells

How do you play the Extend metamagic feat and the following spells in your game?

1) Melf's Acid Arrow
2) Heat/Chil Metal
3) Creeping Cold
4) Miasma

Acid arrow would deal its damage as normal on the additional rounds.

Heat/chill metal would, I think, last longer in the hottest/coolest stage (the onme that deals the most damage.

Creeping chill, I think, should continue to deal the same damage it did on the last of the normal rounds -- not increasing.

I don't use miasma.

Yeah. I should have mentioned that. This first time this happened in one of my games I had the damage continuously increase and lost an NPC because of it.

Hey, have you ever considered adopting Crisis of Breath from the Psionics Handbook? It makes a great replacement.
