Familiars and Death

Okay so the rules on a familiar dying are pretty well laid out.

But what about vice versa?

Is Skippy the Raven turned into a regular 'ole Raven as soon as Joe Wizard bites it? Does it instead have a short time of intelligence left as it slowly turns back to a regular Raven? Does it stay extra smart?

How does Ressurection and like magics interact with all of this?

Are Psions with their Psicrystals any different?

I don't know if any of these situations are spelled out anywhere, but it never hurts to ask.

It lives on with some of the master in it, at two levels lower(never below 1st) and if it get resurected the link comes back

Since I had to make a ruling before T&B came out, IMC a familiar explodes in a magical burst when its master dies. POOF!
