Favorite Fictional Companies in RPGs

One of the things I get a real kick out of in worldbuilding is fake companies, corporations, and brands.

They do more than sell products—they leave an impression on the setting itself.

In cyberpunk worlds, corporations often become nations unto themselves. In post-apocalyptic settings, their logos and products become the fossils of the old world. Long after governments collapse, people still recognize the brand names.

Some of my favorite examples:

• Rifts: Northern Gun, Titan Robotics, and Golden Age Weapons all help define different corners of the setting. Then you have outsiders like the Splugorth and Naruni Enterprises selling bizarre alien technology right alongside them.

• Cyberpunk: Militech and Arasaka dominate the landscape. Their rivalry shapes politics, wars, economies, and the lives of ordinary people who get caught in the middle.

• Fallout: Where do you even begin? Vault-Tec, Nuka-Cola, RobCo, West Tek, General Atomics. The pre-war corporations are so iconic that they continue defining the world centuries after civilization collapsed.

Good fictional brands make a setting feel lived in. They create history, culture, and identity. Sometimes a single logo can tell you more about a world than a page of exposition.

What are your favorite fictional companies or brands from games, novels, movies, or RPG settings?

The Shadowrun setting has multiple standouts. Ares Macrotechnology comes to mind. In the SR setting, they have been heavily involved in defense 'tech and operations -- everything from mass-producing weaponized fluorescent astral bacteria (after buying the IP relating to the prototype from another 'corp) to going as far as to detonate a small nuclear device in an attempt to wipe out a hive of insect spirits infesting Chicago. Aztechnology is another, a major player in the lore and frequently a villainous one (e.g. strong associations with blood mages, etc).

March Technologies from the Delta Green setting also comes to mind, as a logical consequence of a setting in which there are highly connected, wealthy individuals who take an "understand and exploit, and ideally get rich in the process" viewpoint towards unearthly technologies after being on the losing side of a power struggle from their time in highly secretive government operations.
