I like the ones with a theme song that I recall from my youth. Something like Fresh Prince, All in the Family, Cheers, or Dukes of Hazard.

I don't know about a whole soundtrack but some TV theme songs/opening credits that I will routinely let play instead of skipping:

Stranger Things
What We Do In The Shadows ("You're Dead")
Archer
Strange New Worlds

The soundtrack for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End by Evan Call is really consistently good, with lovely cosy tunes accompanying the travel, and some really great action themes when things kick off, particularly Zoltraak.

The theme for Star Trek: Lower Decks is so Star Trek. The show's creator said that he told the composer to come up with a regular Star Trek theme, and not treat it like a comedy.

I have a lot of TV and movie soundtracks & scores in my music collection- ignoring the musicals- and of course some that I haven’t added…yet. TBH, I don’t think in terms of favorites anymore.

I thought the original theme from Monk was classic. And Jan Hammer’s work on Miami Vice is stellar. X-Files is pretty good.

Some from my childhood still resonate with me: The Rockford Files, Kolchak The Night Stalker, The Streets of San Francisco, Ironside, Baretta, Kung Fu, Columbo…

Mission Impossible
deserves a special mention because Lalo Schifrin composed it using Morse Code to determine its rhythmic structure.

When I was reading the first bit about old series, my mind immediately jumped to the MI Morse Code of "Mission Impossible" to the point that I was going to post about it, in response, when I saw your video embed. The thought and creativity that went into old themes was phenomenal. Now we just get a few notes, then done.

The theme from "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" is an absolute classic. It immediately invoked thoughts of a newsroom. I need to rewatch the movies and series (have them on DVD).
