Feycharger?

So, I'm a bit behind in the times of various charops speak.

What is a "Feycharger", out of curiosity?
A dead build, errata today fixed it.

Basic conept was Fey Charge (use Fey Step as part of a Charge, on a hit, Fey Step is not expended). Eladrin Swordmage Advance (when you teleport adjacent to a target, free action melee basic), boots that could split any teleport into two seperate teleports, Rogue feat that allowed you to end your charge in any adjacent square. So you charge (1 attack) split the teleport (2 attacks).. and it just goes on like this. The At-Will DPR was just a touch over 1,000 last I checked, and you literally had to roll a 1 to miss on any monster in-game. The variations were endless. I think it got up to just over 17 attacks per round at one point. I'm not too familiar with them, honestly, the concept actually had a lot of awesome flavor and I'm glad they fixed it they way they did, they didn't nerf any of the flavor feats to do it.

...

Yeah, that is fairly absurd. Especially because the concept is fairly nice. Or at least, taking the initial feat and pairing it with a few others like Surprising Charge.

So far I have been impressed with WOTC's ability to get rid of problems with minimal changes, and making most things still fun, but not overpowered.

Feycharger is a great example. You can still get a great combo once an encounter, just not every round.

Why did you have to roll a 1 to miss any monster in-game?

And what's the source for Fey Charge and Eladrin Swordmage Advance? Let me guess: Dragon Mag feats?

Nice kneejerk slam on Dragon, Felon, but no:

Fey Charge: Martial Power
Fey Gambit: Martial Power
Eladrin Swordmage Advantage: Arcane Power
Roundabout Charge: Martial Power

Latest pre-errata version I could find, 948 at-will DPR. You don't need to worry about it anymore, though. The errata really did basically fix it, Feycharger is dead.

4*from charge mba: 0.99*4*29 = 114.84
12*from normal mba: 0.9775*12*29 = 340.17
4* from dancing mba: 0.9375*4*29 = 108.75
---
total 563.76

Extra damage due to the catch 22:
a) swordmage assault teleport for 2 slashes or 64 damage
b) white lotus riposte for 32 damage: 9(riposte)+5(radiant one)+5(cold vuln)+9(pelors)+5(rod)
-> min 33 damage...

Bloodfire Chain: 5 damage for those who start adjacent to me
-> 5(armor)+5(radiant one)+9(pelors)+5(rod) = 24 damage

Being or not being in Dragon determines whether or not I can use them in my group, so it's an important (and often disappointing) distinction for me.

Now, whose reaction is kneejerk?
And using them or not in your group isn't the context of the post you were making. If you weren't criticizing them, then why say "Let me guess, Dragon Magazine"?

In the past you've argued that Dragon Magazine (especially its feats) are horribly broken and/or just not usable.

If you genuinely wanted to use these, then yes, it was a kneejerk on my part and I'm sorry.
