And some alchemists/plague doctors/rogues I'm actually fairly proud of that I have to find some way to use. When I saw the minis in one of Reaper's Kickstarters (Bones V), I knew I had to paint one of them in black and the other in white(ish).

Are all of those minis from Reaper Kickstarters (looking mostly at the goblins and PCs) or elsewhere?

Most of the goblins are from Wargames Atlantic and their "Goblin Warband" box. It was cheap, but the minis required a lot of assembly and that was a bloody nuisance. I'm used to having minis that don't need assembly or, if they do, having clearly defined tabs/sockets. These minis just had slightly rounded surfaces for the arms/shoulders. I suppose for people used to that sort of thing that's an advantage because it lets them pose the minis how they want, but to me it was just extra work. The goblins on pink and green bases are Reaper however. I think I bought the pink ones some time in the distant past and only painted them recently, and the green one came from Bones V.

Most of the other minis, minus the plague doctors, are from another Kickstarter that was a whole lot of bad but turned out OK in the end. A company named Blacklist Games ran a kickstarter for their "Fantasy Series 2" combined with a skirmish game, and as an add-on you could also buy their previous Fantasy Series 1. I supported that crowdfunder with $225 (plus tax and such) for 218+201 minis, including some rather big ones. But it turned out that Blacklist wasn't doing so well – I don't know if their owner/boss was just cheating people or if he had legitimately made some bad business decisions that didn't work out (Alex Lim apparently had a history of similar things at a previous company). So I had started making peace with the fact that the money was probably gone, when another company, Wildspire Miniatures, stepped in and bought the rights to the minis. They then turned around and gave backers STLs of the minis for free, and offered a pretty good deal for physical minis: $100 or so for them. There were slightly fewer minis in the offer because the original had a lot of 5-packs of minis that got turned into 4-packs, but I figured that since the original money was basically lost anyway paying $100 for ~375 minis was a pretty good deal – in the end it came out to about a dollar per mini (which is pretty cheap) instead of half a dollar (which is super-cheap). And that's where the undead above as well as the ogres and the dwarf lady come from. I really like these minis – they have a fair amount of stand-out detail that might look caricaturish when zoomed in, but works great on the table and when painting. Full price at Wildspire's site for those minis is $130 + $80 + $45, which is still a decent price for that many minis.

I think the archer, orc, and the halfling are Wizkids, and the black lady with the white hair is another special thing. I think she's from a stretch goal/add-on to one of the fantasy Zombicide games, meant to evoke Eleven from Stranger Things. But I got her from a FLGS that for some reason were selling them dirt cheap as standalones.

The base for Rico’s twin is absurdly large. Most people paint the eagle gold, but the model has enough gold on it to begin with: u used a base of verdigris and then a sponge for the copper. I found some slime special effect from Vallejo I don’t at all remember buying and decided why not? I might try adding a few streaks, but probably not.

I have one of these still in the box from the KS. I have also printed a 3D Scout from Traveller in the same scale. Weird feeling when you notice that Sophie's Revenge is larger then the Traveller Scout.

This is project is running surprisingly smoothly. I just haven’t run into any major problems and I haven’t had to fix any serious problems. I’m almost done painting the figure, I need to finish detailing the legs, painting the boots, and assembling all tje accessories.

Not sure what I want to do with the unpainted part of the base. I might try a marble effect.

I really like the new four tone in one package from Vallejo. That’s a good product. I have blue, red, and purple metallic.

I've tried 5 or 6 of the true metallics and they are a pleasure to work with. I think my favorite so far is the Aged Metal set, but their blues and reds are very nice too.
