Nothing says it can't be a 200%(or larger) scale model.

Maybe that is really the Ghost of the Creature of the Black Lagoon and white is its natural color....

During WWII, the United States Army used larger scale models to train soldiers to identify all the parts of some firearms so they could maintain and repair them in the field. Below you can see a model of the M1 Garand.

Resin models are supposed to be washed because the mold releases can make paint hard to stick. When you spend this much on a model, don’t take any shortcuts.

As you can see, he is quite comfortable in the water.

And here he is with a little gray primer and a purple pre-shade. Banana for scale.

This is under painting. I made that nightmare face on the left and then glazed a few layers of a flesh tone glazed over it. Doing my best to get a more natural flesh.

Me too. I glazed with an airbrush which made things both considerably quicker and easier to apply even layers.
