Free Comic Book Day (Saturday, May 7th)

If you've been wanting to check out a few comics, walk into most any comic store tomorrow and walk away with free comics!

Click here to locate the store nearest you, and to see what's offered. I'm hoping to snag a copy of Image's SciFi anthology, Flight, and maybe Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai. There'll also be lots o' Simpsons, Spider-Man, Batman, and Revenge of the Sith books, I'm sure.

We had a terrible turnout at our store despite the free comics and a metric ton of RPG books at 40% off.

I went to two stores. One had the usual crowd and only a handful of the free comics. The other, and my primary FLGS, had an amazing quantity of the freebies, and a checkout line 20 deep the whole time I was there. And they were only running 20% off. A third store had an event going on, but I couldn't even get in the parking lot.

Of course, I don't do comics. I just was curious to see how things were going.
