FREE ENGS advertising

Twin Rose

First Post
All publishers at the EN World GameStore receive free advertising opportunities, as well as the ability to opt-in to get more advertising in the rotation - all without any down payment, no hassle, and without affecting the comission of their other products.

And it's working! Hundreds of dollars of advertising -every month- is what our figures indicated each publisher, even using the lowest, no comission, advertising, will receive. At the higher levels, this is lots - lots - more.

In three days since this advertising has been in place, ENGS publishers have received over a hundred dollars worth of free advertising for their products. Advertising that has turned into sales, and product awareness.

Sales are unquestionably being generated by these banner ads too, based on the Sales Source information.

If you've ever bought advertising on EN World, you know the value of the banner ads, and the front-page leaderboard already.

That's pretty cool.

One nitpick though: there's no note on how large (pixels and kb) a banner may be. I went for 468x60 pixels, but most banners on EN World seem to be 468x65.
Maybe you could tell people how large their banners may be (on the Banner Management page)... I guess that more than 468x65 pixels isn't possible, right?

That's pretty much it. I'll make a notation for the size on the upload page, sorry about that.

Welcome aboard :)

Are my 468x60 banners being STRETCHED to 468x65?

The banners are looking very strange on enworld.

`Le

It appears that is the case, which is a little strange since the standard banner size is 468x60.

If it makes you feel any better, however, they (as least, the ones I've seen) look fine (I wouldn't have noticed had you not mentioned it) - so it might just be the designer's eye in you :uhoh:

Perhaps I'm missing a step, although there only seems to be a simple upload required. I haven't seen my banner once, although the stats for it say it's been viewed. Any way to check if it's up, or if I've done something wrong with it?

Oh and The Le your banners look DELICIOUS. Good job, sir - stretched or not.

Which is your banner, Cathix? Hard to tell if its running without seeing it. Upload it in this thread, and I'll keep an eye out for it.

It's okey. I went ahead and uploaded new ones at the proper 468x65 dimensions.

My old ones WERE stretched, because my text, "Unorthodox Knights" and "Unorthodox Paladins" was a little fuzzy at the top.

Thanks.

`Le

btw, here is one of the banners I will be rotating in next week. I am pretty excited.
