I was browsing the web looking for pictures of wild animals for a class I'm teaching, and I came across something pretty cool and pretty creepy; it can be inspiration for all kinds of aberrations.

SJGames had a 'Walktapus' in The Fantasy Trip, which went up on land, was intelligent and uses weapons. There were four or five Cardboard Heroes of these trhings which I still have; plate armored octopus with a broadsword. Nothing makes players go 'WTF?!' than that.

There's a paleontology congress going on here in Rio, and because of a TV newsflash I learned about the Microraptor (looks like a velociraptor a bit larger than a rooster, with feathers and whose arms and legs are essentially four wings).
