Well, I for one am irritated. If wizards doesn't like my opinion on this and yanks my proposal, so be it. I'm just wondering what the heck exactly is going on over there. This is what the rest of the world calls POOR PLANNING boys and girls. How many fantasy proposals were they expecting to get, really? 100? 200? Zulkir/Anthony reads these boards....he saw the drooling fanbase go mad with excitement. They couldn't have prepped a bit better, hired a few more admin, etc? I'm sorry, but I feel that the continued delays are inexcusable, and I will be extremely surprised if the contest is finished at the end of August. And I'm going to throw in a little pouting as well (okay, well a lot). It's not fair that they keep putting this off. So if someone gets to the next round and has a month to turn in the 10-pager, I doubt they would be quite so understanding if one of us called up and said "Hey, sorry Tony, but I just want to give the project my full attention and won't be able to finish it for another month." Yes, I know they are the ones running the Contest (or not a contest, depending on which Rules-Lawyer school you subscribe to). Yes, I know my opinion doesn't count for crap and I should be thankful to have my proposal considered at all. So what. I am thankful to take part in this contest, but to me it is very poor sportsmanship and business to continuously delay this without so much as a formal announcement. "But it's on the WoTC boards" you say....where? I don't see it linked on the front page. I do have to give Kudos to Anthony Valterra for answering all the fanboy questions we dealt out to him and trying to keep us updated despite the deluge on his desk. But please tell whoever came up with these deadlines that they need to do a little more job-costing next time before they announce such a brief deadline (for us and for them). Sour grapes, I know, but I wanted to get that off my chest. Now I'm going to go get naked and drink. Thank you. Irys.
