Gah, my DM has no ideas

Tinker Gnome

Adventurer
My DM has been complaing that he has no ideas since yesterday and that the game today will suck because he does not have any ideas. He only has to run one or maybe two more games, as he will be leaving for College very soon, so I will then be DM.

Ahhhhhhhh, I hope he comes up with something after he is done with his summerschool so I can talk to him again.

Now our games are like 70% social event and 30% game, and we have had gaming session before where not a lot got done in the game, but we still had fun.

I havce some ideas, and I proposed one to him to help him out, but he saw a small problem with it, so now I have revised it, but I am still nto sure if it is going to work.

gah Vent vent vent!!!!!!

Tell us the idea? We can help out too.

Well, the new idea is that in the time the PCs were gone to deal with a warring nation(which as a couple of days only) a military coup happened in the nation we had allied ourselves with and that while the new leader said he worshipped the gods the people of the nation do, he actually worships an evil god of war and destrcution(Curse those pesky evil gods of war and destruction). He claims that the gods have spoken to him and told him too sacrifice us(As our PCs are the ones who could eventually pose a threat to this god). and that if we are sacrificed the other two nations that they are fighting will be crushed. So the PCs would have to excape the nation. There would be a sympathizer who would tell them of an ancient passage out of the nation, but it is riddled with monsters and traps. That will give the ROgue and Barbarian(Me) a chance for some fun. When we get out of the dungeon we would then end up in neutral territory and decide what to do from there.

We could join one of the other two warring nations, which is a tough choice, as one has a God complex and the other is just made up of powerhungry brutes. This would allow the Bard to have some fun by convincing them that we can be trusted.

We are all at 14th level and the part consists of Me(Barbarian), a Rogue, a Bard, and a Sorceror.

I agree, sounds good. My recommendation: run it if you like it. If "problems" pop up in the future, deal with them then.

I don't get it. Sounds like it could be fun. What exactly is the problem?

I havent told him that one yet, he shot down my oiginal idea, butI made this one up a little while ago. My main problem is I will feel responsible if the game sucks, even though I am not DMing. Oh well, I will e-mail it to him. :)

Here's another thought:

http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=4712&

This is a module that's for $8 on PDF. So your DM would have to print it out or have a computer available. Does he have experience dealing with PDF products?

The adventure is for levels 14 to 15, it should keep you occupied for awhile.

It looks fun, but he is not going to spend 8 dollars on something that he also has to print out with valuable printer ink.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to run some Round Robin GM'ing, to me. :)

I have considered more than once today, but I will see what he has come up with when I can talk to him again. I really want to use all the time I will have as a player for the next session, becauseI will be DMing for a year after that.
