Geas Tag

Concept: a mad wizard wants to play tag. He geas's several people (the party) to tag him. Now comes the strange part. Do they take damage from Geas the next day, even if they run around the local area trying to find said mad wizard? They are "prevented from accomplishing the goal of the geas".

If it's a Geas, they should be fine as long as they're attempting to follow it.

If it's a Lesser Geas, I'd still say no - for example, if you Lesser Geas someone to "bring back the Blue Rose from the top of the highest mountain in the world", and it's a four day journey, they shouldn't incur penalties as long as they're en route to the mountain... but if they get diverted or locked up, they could be in trouble.

Thanks Hyp. I would run Lesser Geas and Geas the same, no matter what the rules said for them.

If it only the attempt then Geas can't be used as an assination tool. Geas: touch me. I'll be on the plane of fire. <plane shift> Just seems too cruel to be true.
