It's just starting to hit my radar. Ill be honest I dont know much about it. Though folks that read the books seem really into them.
My wife and I have read the first two books and they're pretty decent.

My confession is that I believe Banshee (2013, starring an unrecognisable Anthony "Homelander" Starr) is probably the most Shadowrun-like TV show/movie ever made, and that we will ever see (far more so than say, Bright).

Sure there's no magic (?), cyberware, or corporations, but somehow the vibe is completely there anyway, with people who are basically sinless, a hacker so good they could only be called a decker (and who is also a drag queen which seems very on-point for cyberpunk), every other character has a completely implausible but badass background, lots of Native Americans (and also Amish weirdness which somehow fits the Shadowrun vibe - I may be biased because I did run an SR campaign I called "Shadows of Michiana" once), tons of organised crime, plenty of flashy and unlikely weapons (both firearms and melee) and well-choreographed combat scenes and at least one ridiculous heist (or "shadowrun" as one might think of them) per season.

Well, I'm sold.

Well, I'm sold.
Be aware that it's pulp action (again, like Shadowrun, essentially), so there's plenty of bloody violence and sex (albeit ironically more tied into characters and story than in shows which have less of both), but in the post-GoT era I don't think most audiences will be phased by that.

[insert Peter Parker and Harry Osborn meme here]

I hate Frozen and Disney. I‘m tired of new Terminator movies. I dislike most of the MCU. Call of Duty is awful. Lord Of The Rings is not good. I think elections should be decided by gladiator fights. Also, cats are the superior beings of the universe.

I seem to prefer consuming different franchises in anyway possible, except for actually watching the dang show or movie that the whole franchise revolves around. I have been binge watching various Doctor Who lore videos and reading the fan wikis for the last three days and yet have still not actually watched a single episode from start to finish. I do this for a lot of media, I don’t know why I am so adverse to just sitting down and watching it like a normal person.
