GenCon signing (and other stuff)

Hey, folks.

Since I've decided, last-minute, to attend GenCon, they're trying to squeeze in a signing for me.

On Saturday, from 11:30 to 12:30, Laura Resnick (author of the Magic: the Gathering novel The Purifying Fire) has a signing scheduled in the TCG Hall. Although my name's not on the schedule--that whole "last minute" thing--it looks I'll likely be joining her there to make it a joint signing. While the focus is obviously on the Magic novels--her own, as well as Agents of Artifice, the one I wrote--I can't imagine they'd stop you if you wanted me to sign one of the D&D books I've worked on. (And if you wanted to pick up Agents of Artifice while you were there, just because, I wouldn't be offended. ;))

I'm also hoping to attend the 4E Extravaganza seminar on Friday at noon, though I'll just be there as a guest, not part of the panel.

I hope to see some of you there.

Good stuff! :)

Of course, you could just bring your checkbook to the dealers' room with you and be signing all day. ;)

Given how deeply I've scraped to get to GenCon in the first place, I think a book with my signature on it is going to be worth more than any check with my signature on it. ;)

BTW, having been asked about it elsewhere...

Agents of Artifice does not require any previous familiarity with Magic: the Gathering. There might be the occasional name or passing reference you don't get, but that's it. Everything else is explained in the book; it was deliberately written as a jumping-on point for newbies, as well as to appeal to existing fans.
