That is definitely one of the best from Visions. The second one (from S3) was very heartfelt, although I found the combination of traditional animation and computer-generated art (mainly for the spaceships) was a bit odd.
Yeah, He Man is being well reviewed but isn't predicted to do well. And I suspect lack of brand recognition amongst the key demographic (pre-teens) is the problem. It looks like it will go in the box with Mando and HAT* - good movies that people didn't go to the cinema see.
I remember the He Man cartoons but I was too old to take it seriously or buy the toys. I enjoyed its camp silliness though. I wouldn’t mind seeing the movie but I’m not sure my partner would want to go. More likely to go if we have another spell of ridiculously hot weather.
That would be seriously impressive. If true, I’m there on opening night!
I think I was the right age, but it was too transparently an extended toy commercial and never resonated the way serious, well-written shows like Transformers did.
I do think one of Grogu’s problems is there really isn’t anything to hate(watch)!
