Attack of the Clones - I love all the scenes on the clone factory on Kamino at the start. Actually my fave of the prequels.
I remember seeing it when I was 10, and being absolutely blown away. As people later remarked about Rogue One, it was very reminiscent of the WWII movies from the sixties and seventies. The hope and courage in the face of an inevitable outcome. All of this is spot on, except I don't think I have ever heard "Hoth is underappreciated" before. Isn't it often considered one ofthe coolest sequences in the entire OT?
If you ever get the chance, read what Terry Brooks has to say about his experiences being asked to novelise Hook and The Phantom Menace.Lucas did, at least early on. In his original canon heirarchy, the movie novelizations were at the highest non-movie level of canon, alongside the radio plays and the early "Art Of" books.
Can do!You know what, I'm refusing to allow negativity on May the Fourth. Boo to that. Your task: say something genuinely good about every movie in the franchise. No copouts!:
The duel at the end was one of the best things about it, IMO. It subverted expectations while at the same time being one of the most powerful uses of the force that we'd seen to that point.the "duel" at the end.
Different strokes. I thought it was a cop out.The duel at the end was one of the best things about it, IMO. It subverted expectations while at the same time being one of the most powerful uses of the force that we'd seen to that point.
Luke was definitely a mess in a messy ass movie. That end though, it was beautiful. First time a Jedi had any of that samurai essence since the OT.Different strokes. I thought it was a cop out.
In general, Luke's character in the sequel trilogy was a mess, and not in a cool "complicated" way.
