Acquana, who has an art thread on this forum, is away for a week on vacation for her birthday, thanks to the generosity of her family. Acquana herself, however, is a bit of a starving artist. Now, she's an old friend of mine, and I won't be able to see her for her birthday, so I wanted to arrange some sort of gift/present/thing for her on the boards. Her birthday is the 17th, and she won't have internet access until then, so I've got a few days to get her a gift.
I know a lot of people here enjoyed her 'Drawing a Day' series, which lasted a good few months. Now when was the last time any of us volunteered a bit of our time and skill regularly for four months? She was the GM for the Savannah Knights storyhour, which was, I think, the third storyhour ever on the EN boards. Heck, she even drew a picture for my game master on GM's Day this year (March 4th), which he loved. I'm sure she has helped a lot of other folks, and that we all appreciate her contribution to the community here.
So does anyone have any suggestions? Heck, even a few posts of "Happy Birthday" from folks who like her art would go a long way. She posts semi-regular updates in her threads, and lately she put up a story with illustrations, which sadly no one has commented on.
She does commissions too, so if you want a character illustration, it'd be kinda like giving her money as a present -- you get art, she gets to buy cool new stuff, like . . . brushes, pencils, socks, or whatever newfangled things artists use these days.
Anyone willing to donate a bit of time and good wishes for an artist friend on her birthday?
