Legend
My great, noble, and legendary friend... if you release 10 epic bestiaries, I guarantee we'll all buy them with great joy.
I have ideas for 1000+ monsters, its just getting the books finished that's the issue.
Hey Geminisaga777 amigo!
Start adding the monsters to the books and releasing them for us as quickly as possible.
Every book will have some amount of Monsters (and NPCs).
If something goes wrong later, sell a separate expansion with updates and new monsters. You can do this indefinitely, and we'll love it... we want that... until today, your epic bestiary and rules are what saved the epic level of the 3rd edition... now it's up to you to save this new one.
I will stick to my plans at the very least for 2026/2027. As long as I am doing 'okay' from the DrivethruRPG sales and Kickstarters after that point I will keep going.
After God Rules: Epic Heroes, if I can get two books done a year (one 300+ pages, one 150+ pages and maybe one sub 100 page Adventure) I would be happy enough.
Rule books are an extremely complicated jigsaw of design, Adventures are moderately complicated and Monster books are relatively straightforward by comparison. It just happened that this time I went with the Rulebook first and that has slowed me down. So after this I am not expecting similar delays* fingers crossed. On top of that a lot of the next two books (Epic Artifacts and Epic Campaigns) are half written already - if I can get both done by the end of 2026 I will be happy. Then the Epic Bestiary should be around 120 monsters - I should be able to get 15 done per week (so 'on paper' that's 8 weeks but practically more like 4-5 months for me). Then the Apocalypse Camel Adventure (3-4 months I'm guessing) then a smaller adventure (2-3 months). Then a Mega-Adventure, then the second Epic Bestiary and so on. Of course everyone has a plan 'til time smacks them in the face - but better to have a plan than not.
*Although the Dimensional Forging rules might be tricky.
