Does it seem more likely that I'd be hesitant to label the thing I said was indefensible earlier in this topic or the list of things in your post immediately before mine that specifically uses the word objectionable?

I do find lazy historical inaccuracies in a game to be objectionable, esp if it turns out to be inaccuracies that were used to support hateful ideologies. But the word "objectionable", at least the way I use it, is "I disapprove of this", not "this is bigoted hate speech". It's regrettable that the game has these inaccuracies. It's unacceptable that a GOG newsletter uses several nazi-associates symbols in the title.

What did you mean by objectionable? (I can't insert tone here, but let me assure you, I'm not trying to be snarky at you, just trying to understand your post better)

As a Slav of the Russian and Czech variety, I can say that we were never raised with any of that, it is all new. Much of the Rodnovery stuff is invented, and many say by the KGB, to fight Christianity.

True Slavic traditional faith is closer to Native American faith, as it should be as it comes from Siberians. We are naturally Greeks, Anatolian Farmers that mixed with Yamnayan steppe pastoralists in what is now Ukraine.

Yeah, I guess I have to make myself clear.
It was asserted that "Your can't ban symbols simply due to the usage by terrible groups."

I gave the example I did because it would be literally illegal to do that in Germany. They can, and do, ban that symbol. And I would find it really, really odd for anyone to assert that is not something the Germans have every right to do, and that it makes sense for them to do so in their context.

I was refuting an assertion with a real example that seems, to me, hard to honestly argue against. That's all.

There has some been controversy recently surrounding around current Polish narratives about the Holocaust if anyone wanted to look it up. The sort of stuff we can only mention obliquely here.

A lot of people are trying to distance themselves from it, including the game makers who are wondering why on earth did they use the S S runes in a newsletter.

Meanwhile, the newsletter writer is going to lose their job IMO - they admitted realizing it would look bad, changed it for Germany only and published anyway. (see image)

A bit more of that message. Doesn't explain in any way why they would have two of those "runes" next to each other nor why they used symbols, when at most they've previously used emojis.
