As far as i know there is no way to get 2 rolls per attack for more than 1 round.

I believe Ishtar is talking about Twin Strike as the Dilettante power (which can be at will come paragon).

The biggest [W] you could do is the Waraxe (AV) with a d12 for damage (which, and I don't have any experience with Avengers mind you, but the extra damage may be better than the +1 prof of heavy blades), but as for your off hand, the best you're looking at is a d6 I think. A Double axe may be a better choice, it still can be used as a two handed weapon and has d10).

You would hope it would be high on their list. They could say that the Avenger feature only works on Avenger attacks, paragon path attacks and MBAs.

Can't you take Warrior of the Wild and dual-wield waraxes?

Warrior of the Wild > Dual Wield War Axes. If you use Windrise Ports MC into Fighter as well, take Eternal Defender ED > Dual Wield Executioner's Axes.

The average to hit from rolling twice is increased by +4, and since there is a feat that allows you to use Wis now for Diletante now, the +1 from not going Heavy Blades isn't really a huge loss (though if you actually do the above dual-wielding Fullblades with magic scabbards and Gauntlets of Destruction will be a little more DPR).

This would be a terrible nerf to avengers, and, basically, fix the wrong problem (not to mention basically be a rule that "avengers don't multiclass").

Every other classes striker feature works when multiclassing -- Monks can flurry, Rangers get quarry, Rogues get sneak attack; Sorcerors get their extra damage with arcane spells.

The problem here -isn't- Oath -- it isn't even really Diletante/Combat Virtuoso, as much as that is an invitation for broken-ish combos.

The problem here is -twin strike- -- a striker-damage-disguised-as-a-power that just shouldn't exist, at least not in its current form.

Twin Strike would be powerful if it got -2 to hit. Or if it were identical to Dual Strike. Or if the second attack was contingent on the first one hitting. As it is, it's just too good -- which is why so many broken combos start with Twin Strike.

Twin Strike is the king of at-wills, but on other hand, nerfing it heavily will mean that Rangers will drop below other strikers. One could kinda see it as ranger class feature even.

All problems with Twin Strike combos have one thing in common: Versatile Master. Feat that is as strong, or stronger than most Paragon path features. Update Versatile Master to require Paragon multi-classing as prerequisite and Twin Strike as dilettante will not be an issue anymore.

Edit: fixed typoes
