It was wild. I had the windows up but the vents were pulling in outside air. The cologne/perfume smell was so strong it gave me a headache that I still feel two hours later. That's better than the dead animal smells I normally get. Last night I got a bad one.

Is there a good dead animal smell? I mean, other than when they're being cooked?

I’m kinda pissed off at myself right now. I’ve somehow deleted the main files on 2 of my favorite 3.5Ed characters I got to play.🤦🏾‍♂️

Deleted doesn't always mean deleted. Any chance to recover the files? Also, MURDERER!
They’re older characters, and I have no idea when the deletions occurred.

I just looked in the Notes app the other day- it’s where I do all my RPG campaign design and character sheets- and their sheets are gone. All I found were a couple of secondary notes that mention ideas for them.

I likewise checked my emails for them, because I’d routinely send them to myself with notes on the events of the sessions.

All gone.

I put a lot of work into each, and I remember enough about them that I could reconstruct both of them. But it wouldn’t have their precise stats or any of the changes over time. It would be the basic concept only.

I don’t know if I want to dig all of that out for 3.5Ed PCs I’ll never play again in all probability.

I agree that it's probably too much work for the time and energy investment. If you want to take on the task because you could enjoy that's a different story. I'm sure someone would enjoy the challenge.

The thing about both of the missing characters is that each took minor mechanics (and/or optional rules) and made them into the PC’s focal point/shtick.

One was a high Dex Githzerai Monk (or Ftr/Monk?) that used a polearm as a monk weapon (Dragon Feat) with Combat Reflexes & various polearm feats to become a true master of controlling the battlefield. He’d get all kinds of attacks of opportunity as opponents closed, retreated or simply passed too close. In some combats, his damage per round exceeded that of the barbarian he was fighting alongside (and behind).

I used a similar build at a convention with a human PC, with the additional wrinkle that she had potions of Enlarge. She was the utter bane of the dragon we faced in that scenario.

The other was a Sorcerer who had “Paladin-friendly” stats. He used a maul & scale mail- both without proficiency- and instead of CASTING spells, he channeled them via the Draconic Breath feat. Absolute nuthouse glass cannon build. HE was the reason I assembled a database of spells without somatic components.

Reach was an underutilized ability in many games I played in. I think people forgot about it even with monsters that had it naturally.

Your builds spotlight the customizability of the 3rd editions. I love it.
