I wonder what it takes for a movie to gain cult status. In an online article about Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds, they talked about Oblivion having a cult following. Is that word overused? I remember seeing the movie in theaters in 2013 and liked it enough I bought it in the bargain bin at Walmart for $5. I remember thinking while watching it that it seemed to borrow heavily from other sci-fi movies. I like to think of it as paying homage to them rather than just copying. What makes a movie a cult classic?

Starting off with a joke always makes the bad news go down a little easier.
A suit looks good on a man, but a suit looks better on a woman. Everything looks better on a woman, including other women.

Friday morning I was in a car crash. I'm banged up pretty bad, but nothing is broken and no extra holes I didn't start the day with. I'm really bruised up and really sore. The car is totaled. I hit another car. Thankfully he wasn't hurt too bad. At least he didn't need medical attention. I got lucky there. I sent pictures of my bruises to my sister. I texted "partial noods incoming" before.

Glad your “humorous” wasn’t broken!

I sympathize- I have had more than my share of car accidents, including one that gave me night terrors for more than a month.*

* It wasn’t the severity of the wreck- which WAS bad- but the location. The same collision 30 seconds down the road could have resulted in the car going off an elevated interchange.😱

I can safely say, while many things have been taken from me through out the years, they never got to take my sense of humor. I told someone earlier tonight that I had to laugh to keep from crying. I did a lot of that that morning.

I hope no one gets me wrong. I've cracked jokes but they've mostly been at my own expense. I take what happened very seriously. I did in fact do a lot of crying that day. It was my aunt's car. Her insurance will be the one they go after. I could have killed another person. I did cause harm to him and probably negatively changed his life. I'm not taking any of that lightly. It's going to stay with me for a long time.

I will question my actions for the rest of my life. Could I have avoided it if I didn't stop for gas on the way home?

I'm going to put this here. I doubt this is an original idea but I haven't heard it from anyone else yet.

The next Spiderman movie needs to be called Same Ol' Day. In which Peter Parker finds himself reliving the same day over and over because the villain du jour is tampering with time.

Once Disney steals this idea I intend to hire Danny as my attorney as we sue them. I will request a producer credit and a piece of the profits from the box office, merch, streaming, physical media sales. Any hivers that comment on this post will be added to the suit.

Due to my job I haven't been able to take time off to recover. I went back to work that night. I was in so much pain. I got through it. I've been resting when I can. Thankfully my job isn't too physically demanding. I've been stiff and sore but it's getting better everyday. The bruises keep getting bigger and darker. I have had some difficulty moving but it's getting better also. Hopefully the worst is behind me.

@Dannyalcatraz Falcons vs that other team tonight on Monday Night Football. We can watch together, sorta. 🏈
One of my favorite moments in the rivalry was when the Saints refused to increase Morton Anderson’s salary because he “couldn’t hit the long ones anymore.”

He got what he asked for from the Falcons.

And when they played each other for the first time that next season, Mort nailed three 50+ yarders, eyeballing the Saints sideline after each one.😂
