D&D General Hatchette Partworks advertising D&D novel collections

Just a heads up for all us UK readers, Hatchette are advertising a partworks of D&D novels.
It's not on their site yet, but I saw two ads on Facebook today, basically saying "coming soon"
Books shown were a collection of Drizzt novels, the Finders Stone trilogy, and for those with a gaming table that has one leg shorter than the others - Dragonlance ^_^
I'll keep a lookout for these, looks like a chance to expand my bookshelves for a (possibly) decent price.

A quick update on this, the books are now out. I saw issue 2 in my local Asda today.
This issue contains Azure Bonds, and is £6.99. Not a bad price as it is a full well made hardback. If I didn't have it already, I might have picked it up..
As I looked at it, something seemed a bit off, then it struck me - Alias has lost her uncanny valley!
The original artwork has been altered to remove the rampant cleavage.
I found this highly amusing, I wonder what other covers are going to be altered

I find such things embarrassing, cringe, and prudish. I have no interest in buying from them.

The history to that armour is a bit funny actually.

In the Azure Bonds novel, (spoiler alert!) Alias wears normal sensible chain mail for most of the book. She only wears this suit right at the end after being kidnapped and controlled by the bad guys - they’re planning to sacrifice her and for the ceremony they want her in a suit of armour that provides easy stabbing access to the heart.

Of course, the image became so iconic that in the sequel she specifically says she still wears it because it projects a magical field that protects her better than regular armour, despite its skimpiness (of which, I seem to recall, slightly puritanical paladin Dragonbait disapproves). Which seems … somewhat at odds with its initial purpose. Holy retcons, Batman!

Mind you, if they didn’t want to go with the original art, i wish they’d have commissioned a new piece, rather than scrawl all over the old one. I wonder if the original cover artist was consulted?
