I think the memory wipe thing from above looks like what they plan to set up for the season. Thought it was interesting that we got to see a Sylar impersonation redux.

I found this episode, not just bad but insulting.

Peter said it best when he stated to Angela: "you could have told us this in a restaurant". The show took at best 20 minutes of material and stretched it out to 45 minutes.

As I watched the drudgery, plod ever forward, I thought to myself that maybe the show would cut to Hiro/Ando/Parkman....but I have become so fatigued of those three the prospect did not hearten.

Did the writers forget to mention that Alice was developmentally challenged?
I can not think of a better reason for any rational person to stay in one place for 50 years, of course the character was just invented 1 episode ago.

You have the government with knowledge of "Supers" in 1961, in 2008 when a soldier volunteered to get super powers, and 2009. You have mass graves in 1961 and Guantanamo bay style detention and murder in 2009. You have Sylar impersonating Nathan, a senator, and you have the old movie reel made by Papa Surresh...........methinks the opposite of hiding is in order....time to expose.

I have been a loyal Heroes watcher. I have been willing to suspend disbelief, and upon occasion, logic, rationality, and the demand for sensible actions and story writing. This episode was a complete waste of time, and I found myself wanting the show to be canceled so I would not feel guilty to abandon it.

An utter waste of an episode. Not much more to say beyond that.

I've been wanting Heroes to cut back on the number of stories per episode. If they're all going to be like this, I change my mind. Pretty much diametrically opposite to Company Man.

A nice bit of continuity - IIRC Mohinder had no problems walking through the storm, due to his strength.

I ended up paying more attention to doing my taxes and working on my thesis than watching the episode. It's sad if it can't be engaging enough to distract me from them.

I hope next week's episode it better. It would be hard not to be.

So far, I've only watched the first season on DVD. Any reason to get season two, or this one when it ends? I'm not thinking so....

At least they explained why Angela got caught for shoplifting in Season 1 (?). ;) Anyone remember if it was for socks?

I am pretty sure it was socks or a tie (.. but I really want to say it was socks). Also, earlier this season there was a scene of Angela talking on the phone from her limo. And after hanging up, she pulls out some socks that still had the tag on them and then she pets (best description i can think of) them. ;)

I liked the story from the perspective of learning the background, etc. But the pacing felt off and that it was trying too hard to be an emotional story rather than being a story. I would have rather seen it as one coherent flashback (rather than as cut scenes between emotional breakdowns) ... but who knows, I may have liked that format less.

In any case, I enjoyed it for the background story aspects and a little for the general character development.

Random tidbits:
Angela's dad was a microwave man, that's the second time we've seen that power right? Didn't Sylar's sidekick have a similar power? Not saying they're related, just trying to make sure I'm not imagining the fact that I saw it before... or maybe the dad was just some sort of sonic/kinnetic blast rather than microwave...

First time we saw a "weather witch" type

I think this was the fist confirmation of Charles D's power (mind manipulation/mind wipes/etc)

Nathan, for being a 'politician' has the weakest will save when it comes to either of his parents -- such a push over to even the smallest suggestion that either makes

The scientists must be good at "duck and cover" because both suresh and zimmerman survived that masacre (with zimmerman only to be hired by linderman of all people in the future)
