New hivemind threads very much remind me of the Tea Party scene in Alice in Wonderland. A seemingly random event triggers the seat change as everyone frantically tries to ge resettled and then trying to figure out where the prior conversation was going.

That's a good metaphor, though, boothbey I've always enjoyed the transition period - seems to liven things up a bit.
