HMP's 48-hour "I Got Robbed!" Sale

First Post
Hello, everyone. Unfortunately, on Monday night my car was burglarized and a few things were stolen. In order to get some funds to replace the items lost, I'm holding the 48-hour "I Got Robbed!" Sale.

From now until Monday morning, all our MonkeyGod products have been put on sale at both RPGnow.com and ENGS (Note: at this moment the selection at ENGS is far more limited than at RPGnow). All the adventures have been slashed 50% and the critically-acclaimed sourcebooks Frost & Fur and From Stone to Steel have been reduced in price.

Take advantage of this opportunity to stock up on some great sourcebooks and adventures!
Thanks for your support!

Sooo... anyone have any recommendations? I have essentially no experience with MonkeyGod, but would still like to help out.

Well, from personal use I can say that both Stone to Steel and Frost & Fur are excellent. :) When I finally got around to buying Frostburn my general feeling was slight disappointment - because F&F had already done a better job of covering that environment.

Stone to Steel is a good source on running something a bit different than high medieval to early Rennaisance. Not every setting has chainmail and swords. I have not used this book nearly enough, and rather want to use it more.

For adventures I can highly recommend All the King's Men - a good, if nontraditional, use of a traditional monster, a good solid mystery story, and more than a drop of humor. One of exactly four published adventures that I have run for 3.X, and the only one that I ran without major changes.

High praise considering the source folks. :)

Both the F&F and StS PDFs are firmly ensconced in a folder on my desktop labeled World Building.

Very few other books are there, but when I start a project that is the first folder that I open. (The others are the Magical Medieval series and Elements of Magic: Mythic Europe.)

Song of Storms also seems like a good adventure, I heve read it, but never run it.

It is too bad that At the Edge of Dreams is not on the list - while I have not run that adventure I have pillaged it without mercy. :)
