Houserule: a different twist on recharging encounter powers

There's a few threads floating around about recharging encounter powers with some excellent suggestions (if you're into that). I'd like to put forth a slight variation on what's been tossed out.

Instead of just recharging if the 1st d20 roll of your turn comes up 20- how about if it comes up 1, or 10? If you want powers to recharge a little more frequently, define some numbers throughout the range.

What I'm getting at, is if you only have powers recharge on a high roll, that person with awful luck is going to feel more and more frustrated as roll after roll, they're a long ways away from a recharge number; they don't get the excitement of a "close roll".

If they can score a recharge at the top or bottom, or even just in the middle- it's a little more exciting for Mr Low-Roller.
