Will the 9 factions of AU be referenced in Deadfall? Will we get lore for intergrating them and their bastions in FR? Other settings? Will Venger adventure be set in the Forgotten Realms, I mean the book is from the POV of one of Mystra'a chosen after all. Do you think the books will reference each other at all and if not, why call Deadfall Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall? Will the Arcana Domain refer to FR Gods like Mystra, Azuth, Sara's, Leira, etc...?

I don't know if all of Arcana Unleashed will be in Deadfall, but I expect that there will be subclasses and backgrounds that would be applicable to making a group of 11th level PCs to play through Deadfall. Perhaps some or all of the magic items and spells will be in the book.

Oh, I didn’t know that…

I remember being captivated by the 3e template for the Chosen of Mystra. It was so strong. Gave like +10 Con and a bunch of other stuff. The power level in 5e can’t support that but even a toned down version could be interesting. Designed as a Path of Feats perhaps?

If the AU has individual entries on the factions and the adventure just says "you gain X reknown with one of the nine factions" it really won't take up a lot of time or space to integrate them into the adventure.

I think the Ninth Quill is the default questgiver (clue in the livestream info). Although I suspect it would be easy enough to substitute a different faction. Maybe Alustriel is Ninth Quill now?

A magic focused selection of PCs is probably assumed. If you want to infiltrate the Red Wizards, it will probably help if you have at least one wizard!

But I'm sure there will be no "you should own AU in order to run this adventure".


I would be surprised if the Arcana domain text didn't mention Mystra et al, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the adventure.


Whist Venger vs. Szass Tam would be cool, I can't see them going there...
