D&D 5E (2014) How many unique enemy statblocks do I need for a Homebrew Level 1-10 Adventure?

Hey, not sure if this is the place, but I was wondering how many unique enemy types with spells from SRD 5.1 rule set and some monster types that I need to create for a stand alone adventure from levels 1-10.

So far I have 7 enemy stat blocks for the demo (levels 1-4). How many would I need for the level 1-10 full campaign? I have already completed the BBEG.
Any amount between 0 and however many you want. You could make hundreds if you don’t feel the current options represent what you want, or you could purely use the premade stuff no wrong answer.

Good point. I should have mentioned the enemy types are:
Mages
Cultists
Fighters
Feys
Fallen Paladins
Fiends
Undead
Beasts
Constructs.
For some advice I would also look into the existing monsters in the MM, generally you only need custom ones if it doesn’t cover what you desire.

I've run something similar with 3 stat blocks.

I've run something similar using half the MM.

It really depends on the campaign.

For the one with 3 stat blocks, they simply encountered greater numbers of enemies (military type campaign). Enough of them can overwhelm almost any character no matter the level in 5e.

However, variety is also great, which is why I normally run it with more. It just depends on what type of dungeon you want to run.

Will each level have a theme? If so I'd suggest 3-5 stat blocks per level.

If it will have a greater variety (let's say a different thing each encounter) you may need 15 - 20 at a minimum.
