How much detail/pride do you put into your house rulebook?

Everybody frequenting this subforum probably has some kind of house rulebook, whether it be a document or a printable wiki for the players. PLEASE SHARE in this thread. I'm interested to see how much pride you guys put into your stuff.

My house rule books

My 4E and 4.5E house rulebooks are here:

JAY'S 4e D&D HOUSE RULEBOOK

I deck them out with artwork and usually a cover page. Recently I switched over to LANDSCAPE format, even though I still expect my players to print them out.

Because 4E is so new, I've not messed with a lot of actual "rules" yet as much as setting up the background for the campaign (races allowed, background inspiration, and the chaos effect..warhammer afterall).

I have several pdfs of house rules in my Library of Unearthed Arcana which I make as professional-looking as possible for anyone who might want to use them. I do take pride in them being accessible to the public and well-thought out, but I don't necessarily use any of my own house rules for my own campaigns. So instead of printing out a full pdf of house rules, I often just jot down the house rules I intend to use in a campaign and explain to my players myself. I find that players pay more attention that way.

I tend to keep my house rules minimal. About the only real game-changer I had for 3e was that I gave feats every odd level instead of every 3rd level, with an extra at level 1. I also combined Listen/Spot into Perception, Hide/Move Silently into Sneak, and Balance/Tumble into Acrobatics.

My main goal was that I wanted to make sure I could use HeroForge for character generation. bonus feats were easy, and - remarkably - the skill combinations were pretty simple, too.

So far, I have zero house rules for 4e. It's very new, and I feel a great freedom to hand-wave stuff like a horse's carrying capacity. I am keeping up with errata, though.

I collect all the campaign background and character creation info for my heroes of horror/Frostburn game on a wiki: www.shatteredsun.pbwiki.com

We don't start the campaign till the beginning of next year so its still a work in progress.

Because 4E is so new, I've not messed with a lot of actual "rules" yet as much as setting up the background for the campaign (races allowed, background inspiration, and the chaos effect..warhammer afterall).

Mine is the same way, no real house rules yet, just custom elements added on.
