I'll be Back, Gimli (Dwarven Vampire Varient?)

First Post
So I was pondering what to do with my party once the game kicks back up in Hiatus. They have a dwarven vampire enemy who got away, and likely wants to come back and kick their ass.

Well, I was pondering what to do, to make an interesting cohort for him. I had the mental image of this liquid armor, which was sort've T-1000 ish. THen I got the mental image of a dwarf forming axes out of his hands and just going to town on some enemies.

And then, it hit me.

An undead form of Dwarf that seems more Dwarf then anything.

Imagine if a dwarf fused itself with metal and stone, bound with Fire and flesh

The dwarf is undeniably undead, but has vampire-like abilities. The Gaseous form is actually turning into liquid metal (Which it can attack from; imagine a liquid metal snakelike body that forms a solid tip, stabbing or smashing). It could create spawn by injecting parts of the metalic body into 'spawn'. Could drain con by injecting metal into the body, which starts to tear them up. Fast healing? Cake!

It could form weapons instantly from the metal surface, which looks like armor that can conceal itself in the body. So you have a dwarf charging with spikes starting to grow from his arms and head.

Then, if it's reduced to zero hit points, could leak away. If they found the 'coffin', imagine trying to stake something with a metal shell? The 'Heart' is actually a large gem in the dwarf's chest. They'd need a metal chisel with the symbol of a dwarven god, and a blessed hammer to stake the 'vampire'.

Instead of summoning wolves and bats, it could summon elementals and para-elementals (Magma), for the Fires of the Forge rage within the undead. Some more interesting powers could be such as absorbing metal, to heal or to beef up AC, or to do Something, or perhaps draining the hardness and quality of metal to the point of making them brittle.

Is it sad I'm trying to create Dwarf of the Borg?

Gamestuff.

It sounds like such an NPC could cast variants of spells like gaseous form and such, probably has the Fire creature type, and can do about 1d8 (plus 1d6 fire?) in a melee attack, at will, or 1d6 when grappling (or grappled, or punched... )

One really nasty thing would be to absorb metal from weapons as they attack - if a weapon connects, the wielder gets a Reflex save (or something) to avoid keeping in contact for too long and losing part of the weapon's material.

Well, the main makeup of the undead is Metal and Flesh. But Fire and Stone make up the inside of it. Sort've like a fire and earth elemental fused to a corporal body. Sure, fire damage could be done to the weapons, but this is not Always the case. Seeing as the weapons are infused in, offering some magical abilities aren't bad (Although, he could simply absorb his magical axe, and BAM).

I'm thinking immune to fire, however takes double damage from acid, able to be rusted, etc.

But absorbing metal from weapons is cool. :) Or at the VERY LEAST, getting the weapon stuck in him.

or, you encounter a (whatever you decide to name it) and the party has to protect it from an onslaught of Rust monsters. that'd be fun to play out.

Seeing as this (I'm thinking a Mithril Stalker being a term) is going to be an old nemesis, they'd likely be cracking the whip behind the rust monsters. :)
