Damn having recently been to Super Nintendo World at Universal Japan, a D&D area with a few rides/attractions feels long overdue.

Damn having recently been to Super Nintendo World at Universal Japan, a D&D area with a few rides/attractions feels long overdue.
This is just for the specially-ticketed evening event called "Fan Fest"

I did this same experience last year and my impressions are:

Excellent sets, acting and effects all around.
Seeing Xanathar life size and shooting eyebeams was incredible
The experience moves too quickly, as we're rushed from environment to environment so that the next group can come through as well... it's a constant roundabout.
The storyline was a bit hard to follow, because the actors rush us from environment to environment so rapidly.
I would have liked something more free-timed, where I could linger, like in the Back to the Future event they had going the same evening.

The advertising materials promised food and drink available at the "First Roll Tavern" and that was an enormous disappointment. Not actually anything like a "tavern" but instead an unthemed outdoor patio overlooking Jurassic Park, that had a walk-up snack bar window selling booze that was also unthemed.

All in all, it was excellent, but the Back to the Future thing overshadowed it by being one of the greatest themepark events of all time... a live reenactment of the film ON THE ACTUAL Courthouse Square set it was made on.

I went last year also . . . and I'm going again mid-May! Pretty much agree with @BruceWright's impression, neat but rushed.

Cool merch though last year, picked up a Bag of Holding and a scroll case dice bag!

Looking forward to the Potion of Healing water bottle this year! :)

I've got an upcoming vacation to the Nintendo World in Florida and was thinking about the interactivity of the rides there and how they can be tracked with a peripheral that costs extra. I was wondering aloud if anyone had the D&D theme park license but in a perfect world maybe if this does well we can see a D&D world added to another American Universal park like Islands of Adventure or Epic Universe.

For example, look at how many famous magic items you can see in that third photograph, the display case. SOOOO many easter eggs to delight D&D fans. Try to spot them all!

So far I've found the Boots of Elvenkind, the Cauldron of Rebirth, the Immovable Rod and the Pipes of the Sewers. And that's just from some casual flipping through the DMG. I'm sure there's deep cuts too. AND THIS IS ONE BOOKCASE in a whole room of bookcases in just one of the 5 rooms you venture into.

No time! Rush into the next room, and the next!
