I think that ad would work quite well in today's market with just a minor tweak.

A lot of people are under the impression Tinker Bell was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. In particular, they point to a scene in Gentleman Prefer Blondes where Monroe is stuck in a porthole that bears some resemblance to the scene in Peter Pan where Tinker Bell gets stuck in the keyhole. The thing is that Peter Pan was released in February of 1953 while Gentleman came out a few months later in July. The Disney artists drew Tinker Bell to resemble Kelly who was a very beautiful woman in her own right.

Margaret Kelly, the model for Tinker Bell, died June 11. She was 97.

It seems that her name is misreported here and elsewhere. If I am not mistaken, it was Margaret Kerry.
