Is it still a Range attack ??

Is it still considered a Range attack when you use a standard action to attack again with conjured wizard powers ? When you use the Flame Sphere, Icy Grasps, Mordy's Sword ??

I know they are Range 10, or 20 when you use them the first time,but are they still considered Range attacks after they are sustained, and you use a standard action to attack again ??

Unless it specifically says under the Effect heading that your conjuration is making a Melee Attack, I'd say it's still a ranged attack so long as it's using your attack bonus.

Well, I agree with you.

On the other hand, I'd note that I don't think that these subsequent attacks with the conjuration incur an OA, because my reading is that it is the initial use of a Ranged power or Area power that incurs an OA, not every individual attack roll you make with it.

So, the subsequent sustain action that repeats the attack of the conjuration power doesn't constitute a new "use" of said power?

I can get behind that...you're not repeating the entire power over again, just the attack. Otherwise, it wouldn't be an encounter/daily power.
