Archetypes of Faith, Folklore and Myth
The following archetypes are inspired by feminine figures from faith, folklore and myth. The Guardian Heart berserker, inspired by Erzuile Dantor, is driven by passionate fury to protect those who have earned their affection. The Lunar Liminal wizard, inspired by Hecate, finds arcane revelation in occult ritualism that helps them manifest an inner moon to harness magic. The Render fighter, inspired by Sekhmet, manifests the supernatural fury of big cats to wreak carnage and inflict bleeding wounds to those before them. By Akeem Favor.

The Skulking God: A Dossier on the Jackal King
He creeps beneath the canopies of dense rainforests, savaging horrific monsters and leaving only macabre jigsaws of their remains. He prowls the edges of villages, searching for those whom he may visit with his blessings or with his wrath. His howl echoes through mountains and rolls across savannas. He is worshiped as the father of the pachydex heritage (see Gate Pass Gazette Issue #41) and vilified as the demon that tore down the Citadel of Nai. This deity is known as the Jackal King, a fearsome creature of mysterious origins and uncertain nature, and this article features a collection of organizations and their connections to this enigmatic deity, as well as several related knacks and a destiny. In past Curious Creatures articles, we have looked at the wildlife the party may meet, strange beasts that inhabit the wilder regions of distant lands. But what about the livestock that can be found in the styes, tables, and byres of more bucolic corners?
