Kansas City - DM Dinner

So, the ENWorlders in Raleigh have a brilliant little thing called a DM Dinner, where they periodically meet to, well have dinner.

I'm pretty certain they don't have a copyright on that, so I'm going to steal it. Otherwise, they're lawyers can talk to my lawyers.


So, as noted by the clever "location" thing under my name, I'm back in Kansas City, and I'd like to get something organized, because well, no one else is.

So, rather than trying to go all out and actually organizing a game day, I thought I'd just post to see if anyone was interested in just having dinner somewhere. We can figure out where later. I mean, if everyone lives in Johnson county, then somewhere in Johnson county would make sense, otherwise we can shoot for the Plaza or something more centrally located.

So, who would be interested?

Yes, that's pretty much it.

I'd be more than up for BBQ, but most places don't really have the amenities to host a large number of people easily. Plus some tend to be a bit on the pricey side. That's not to say we couldn't do BBQ, but it has its complications.

I'll have you know that those of us who put together the DM Dinners in NC have no interest in restricting others from doing so and in fact we actively encourage the practice. As long as we get our royalty check, we're happy!

It is a matter of money + schedule for me. As it is a little bit of a drive (I am about 1 hour from Johnson county).

I'm in Johnson County -- Overland Park, to be exact. The place that caters the best around here to large gatherings that I go to is Cinzetti's, an Italian buffet place around 93rd and Metcalf (that is -fantastic-). And yeah, definitely interested. There are other places too, I'm sure.

Yup, Lenexa here. I'm in for a DM dinner, mass quantities of food being a blessed thing (BBQ doubly so).

I can travel to any part of KC, not a problem. I live in the southeast (Raymore) but I work in Overland Park.

I do like BBQ - Jack Stack in Martin City or Overland Park. I am open to other places though.
