I dont know the source material but the trailer is giving me Edward Scissorhands vibes - would that be accurate?

It looks too cutesy feel good 'girl movie' to appeal to me, but I do detect a darker dystopian undercurrent that is intriguing.

Happy to see that Jenna isnt getting typecast into 'goth' roles

The novel was surprising, lending itself to a more inception take with the unreliable narrator that is handicapped so you don't know what can be trusted in the narrative. I unexpectedly enjoyed it when we read it for book club

It's definitely not AI propaganda and I'd argue its the opposite if they follow the books. It gets really dark
