For the most part, I don't find the Takers particularly receptive to individuals of a Goodly nature - more so Neutral Good than Lawful. Though the idea has since been moved away from slightly in third edition, previous ones often gave the impression that Lawful Good was the "best" Good when, logically, the alignment most devoted to Good over anything else would be. Which is also why I'm a bit curious as to why a form of Neutral Good paladin has yet to crop up...or have I just not seen it? Hmm. And I did try to think up a few reasonable explanations for a Lawful Good Taker, but all seemed to essentially wind up with another Faction seeming more appropriate (specifically the Guvners and the Hardheads)...Lawful Neutral could work, but the Fated are a tough fit for a paladin, or Good alignments all around...I'd ask your player his reasoning for wanting to join the Fated in the first place and why he think the faction fits. He must have one, even if it's just a different take on what constitutes Lawful Good - which should be hashed out with him even if he doesn't join the Fated, as with him being a paladin, it will matter at some point. If he actually does have a solid, good reason, well, I'd actually like to read it, simply because I'm currently stumped on it at the moment.</blockquote>
