Out of curiosity, is this story in line with the books or are they just wrapping things up? I found it to be generally enjoyable, though I'm not into torture porn.

First season had some elements from the book. This second season...I believe this is a variant on a theme (no is the word).

Does the Creator have a few screws loose or something? Her plan to save the world is to have the Keeper win, then let Richard and Kahlan repopulate the world? How is that supposed to work when male Confessors are pretty much born evil?

Hmm?

The only thing that's routinely worth commenting on is how stupid it is to oppose the Keeper, since even the good of heart wind up in his domain of eternal suffering. So far, nothing we've seen have changed that. The Stone of Tears will close the rifts, but we haven't heard anything about it changing the cycle of life and death.

I suppose I could expand that point out that the Keeper is pretty stupid to want to destroy all life if he wants his domain to continue expanding. Perhaps he should be happy to have the Creator keep a small pen of mortals around.

My impression wasn't that the Keeper wanted expansion, he just doesn't want anyone to be alive and in the realm of the creator.
