The energy shields her from all spells with energy type descripters, and reflects them back onto the caster. She can fire three blasts of black lightning per round for damage, with a ref save for half dmg, a second ref save to avoid being knocked back 2d6x10 feet, taking 1d6 dmg per 10 feet remainging when they hit a barrier, and a fort save to avoid 1d4 rounds of stun. If a host is powerful enough, he can free himself and fully incarnate. In that form, he is an 18th level druid with a staff that allows him to use rituals to create living spells (As per Eberron Book).
So my players know that they are hunting 10 unique, immensely powerful demons, all minions of the BBEG, and they uncovered a cache of weapons designed specifically to slay them. I'm trying to come up with demon ideas they've never seen before that will make for some very cool fights. They should be about CR20, maybe just a little bit more, and should epitomize some aspect of the world, like energy, magic, lifeforce, etc. Dont worrry about them being too powerful. they're supposed to be. Here's what I have so far. The PCs know the names and forms mentioned already. 1. Zura Black-Lightning (Master of Energy). They actually killed this one by luring her alone somewhere without her minions, trapping her, and wearing her down. She could take human form but she was a being of pure energy. The purplish-black energy that she is made out of does backlash damage equal to all melee damage dealt to her, except with the sword specifically made to kill her. Those hit by backash dmg are also subject to the knockback effect. 2. Guarjalax the Primordial (Master of Creation). Guarjalex is a demon made of the proverbial "primordial ooze." He is trapped in a subterranean prison in the form of a blue-green ooze. There is a well down to that spot, though, and he can incarnate himself into any creature of sufficient power dropped into it. He empowers his hosts, turning them into powerful druids who do his bidding. When his host dies, the portion of him within it rejoins him. If a host is powerful enough, he can free himself and fully incarnate. In that form, he is an 18th level druid with a staff that allows him to use rituals to create living spells (As per Eberron Book). In his natural form, he looks like a strange hybrid of a wolf and a bear which oozes a greenish-blue slime (actually green slime). 3. Kosan the Wraith (Master of Magic). Fully-Cheesed Silverwraith(From CoTSQ, basically an incorporeal lichy thing) Cleric with all the Mystra Cheese I can find in FR stuff (Note: not an Fr campaign) I can find, including Dweomerkeeper prc and the ability to ignore Anti-Magic. Not statted. Should have some sort of mass mind-control power or soemthing. Two forms, one a regal humanoid black panther, the other a large, muscular, african man. 5. Sebesh the Claw (Master of Animals). Tiger lord. Noble Rakshasa? Not sure what to do with this one. Defiantely has rakshasa and zakya minions. 6. Abarax the Red (Master of Demons). Satan-like big red demon. Might just use a Pit Fiend or Balor and call it a day. 7-10. Open Slots. Any more ideas??
