looking for a hireling price list for adventurers...

Hey all, I know there is some info out there as far as "hireling prices" but I am looking for a few more options or ideas when it comes to PCs hiring NPCs such as wizards or rogues for example. I have a few PCs who have attained Leadership status & hold Keeps, ships & so forth & was curious about any info this very cool community might have. Thanks for your help & keep on keeping on!

You're going to need to let us know what edition you play, and what your campaign economy is like. Different games have different levels of wealth, which means that people are likely to demand more or less money.

That said, hirelings shouldn't be terribly expensive. Considering that your average commoner makes, according to 3e, somewhere around one silver a day, hiring some regular joes to do some work for you doesn't get too terribly expensive.

In older editions, hirelings were counted as one-half a share when calculating experience and gold, since they were like junior members of the party. I might be thinking of retainers, to be honest, but the difference can't be that vast.
