Looking for a product

Hi All,

I'm looking for a d20 book/pdf that I saw advertised and reviewed here probably over a year ago.

I have no clue on the name or the publisher.

It was a variant magic system, where you "created" spells on the fly, with a DC set by various factors (amount of damage, damage type, range #targets, whatever).

Whenever I see Chaos Magic advertised, I think it's the product I'm look for, but I'm always wrong (you'd think I'd learn, huh?). So the title might be something similar.

Anyway, if anybody knows what I'm talking about, could you let me know? (that didn't come out quite right, oh well).

That does sound like Chaos Magic: Wild Sorcery by Mongoose, written by Sam Witt.

That's just scary. I meant to type "Wild Spellcraft", that's the one I always see advertised.

Wow, if I came up with more questions that answered themselves, I'd be a genius, right?

Ya, Wild Spellcarft is something else entirely, but still a really good book.

Magic in Sovereign Stone works like that where determining factors (damage, range, effect etc..) give a number which the spellcaster must build up to (with cumulative rolls) with the spell taking effect once the number is reached.

Its a great simplistic system for low level magic campaigns.
