Luck Domain question

The luck re-roll AFAIK can only be used in game. Rolling HP's is something done out of game time.
But if your DM will let you abuse this domain power then good luck to you.

kruncyfrogg, you're not actually in Dallas and not NYC, are you? Because the player of the cleric of Rudd in my Greyhawk game tried that one on me last game. :D Actually, I think she was joking-she laughed it off when I gave her the 'you can't be serious' look ...

I'm north of NYC. I'm being completely serious. I figured that the DM might allow the reroll if the player hadn't used the ability the session s/he leveled up.

I don't see what's so rediculous about that idea.

If I was your DM, I'd let you do it. I mean, you HAVE to take the second roll. So assuming your a cleric, youll probably only risk it on a 1 or a 2. I hate it when my players (or myself) gets a 1 or a 2 for HD, so I dont see the big deal. Especially if you didn't use it for a session, which is usually longer than just a day, I dont see the problem. It may not be correct within "the rules", but lucky clerics deserve something right?

On a side note, Im wondering when the sacred cow of "rolling hp for levels" will be gone. Its the only random thing anymore, and in some campaigns its not even random till 3rd or 4th level!

In some campaigns, it's not random at all. :)
