True, while the description implies that the only reason you would want to use this item would be for lifting heavier loads, the fact is that it would still add bonuses to the mount's attack and damage rolls. A paladin's warhorse would benefit greatly from this, not to mention the above mentioned awakened warhorse. Now if they actually made a magical item that allowed the creature wearing it to increase their load without adding to any Strength rolls, that would definitely deserve a huge discount.

(BTW, I clicked on this thread expecting to see a question about making enchanted platform shoes or fur-rimmed sunglasses. This isn't nearly "funky" enough to warrant the use of the word...)

Sure, but who else can use the item? Dray animals. That's it. I figure that should warrant a discount of some kind. After all, the item is effectively being restricted to a limited range of creatures.
