Spoilers Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97 Season 2 discussion

Wow, Jubilee got a badass upgrade. Must be all that time she’s spent with Wolverine. Also, did she get those roller boots in a Stark sale?
I think it’s from training with herself in the video game episode and with Psylocke in the X-Force intro-montage. Would be cool if we did get to see Wolverine training with her at some point.

Not sure about the skates, though.

Gotta love Apocalypse vs Magneto really committing to the X-Men vs Street Fighter bit by having Apocalypse turn into a giant with a drill for a hand. Which is also as impressively anachronistic as the big letter A on his belt buckle, over a thousand years before any version of that letter or alphabet is created.

Did the actual word "Apocalypse" even exist then? A quick search says no,so even using that word that far back is anachronistic.

To be fair I don’t think he calls himself that all episode, just going by En Sabah Nur. Doesn’t explain the belt buckle, though. It would have been nice to see an intermediate version that didn’t look exactly like his 20th century self.

Or we could adopt the MST3K mantra and just relax about it lol

That's assuming that the development of the letter A on Earth-92131 follows the same process as in this world. Who's to say that the letter wasn't based on the symbol used by Nur?

I do remember that during the Krakoa era, Cypher developed a language for mutants with its own script based on circles, dots, bars, and arcs. And of course, Apocalypse at the time added to that language with a symbol just for himself that was essentially a stylized A:

So it makes sense that Apocalypse would associate the symbol "A" with himself even before A was an actual letter.
