In high school I ran a superhero RPG. There was a Spanish NPC superhero with a bull theme. I described how he "has long black hair, he looks Spanish--", and a Dominican player asks "what do Spanish people look like?"

I call a 5-minute break; when we come back he's wearing a Real Madrid Jersey.

Its easy to get into the assumption if you grew up in the U.S. that Spaniards look like what with think of as Latinx people when we're assuming some Native American ancestry mixed in, and the best you can say about any visual tendencies of actual Spaniards is they run to being dark of hair and eye. But then, so do Italians,

(Even with Latinx you can faceplant here because there's so much genetic diversity in parts of Central and South America.)
